Bancroft Area Business Owners!

The Newfies are coming! Lots of them!

Bancroft Area Business Owners, now is the time to contact us to be included in all of the opportunities to promote your business for this busy weekend. Many people attending NewfStock will be coming from quite a distance and staying in town for several days and will be looking for activities to do and places to visit.

Attendees that pre-register will be sent an information package ahead of time which will include a map listing area businesses who are offering special promotions or who have a Newf-friendly establishment for visitors to visit. We will also be providing information about local businesses at our event. If you are interested in offering special pricing/promotions over the weekend for NewfStock attendees, please contact us to be included on this map directing people to your business. Please send us an email at newf.friends@gmail.com

Vendors Welcome!

Space is still available for vendors at our main event in Millennium Park on Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Vendors are invited to set up booths selling items, offering services, or promoting their business or group for the day. Hundreds of dog lovers, not just Newf lovers, will be in attendance, and this is a great opportunity to sell your quality, pet themed goods.

Businesses that would like to offer a seminar or run an activity at NewfStock are asked to contact us with details.

Dog clubs are invited to attend, as are vet clinics, or people offering services for pets. Area Newf clubs are encouraged to set up information booths to gain new membership and promote their water rescue seminars and carting events.

In exchange for space at our event, vendors are asked to give a donation of their choice to Newf Friends. Not-for-profit groups/volunteer run clubs (such as breed clubs) will not be required to offer a donation, nor are the area vets who offer their generous support of Newf Friends and HART.

Yes, on their site it says pets max 20 lbs! They are aware that Newfs weigh a tad more than that.

Those that are planning on making this a longer vacation, you may find renting a cottage to be a great option
Cottage Rentals
There are pet friendly cottages on this site, and some of the lakes are very close to town. I called them and have been assured that there is flexibility on arrival/departure dates because we are into September. You could arrive on a Thursday or Friday instead of a Saturday as listed on their site. These cottages book up fast and there are only a handful of pet friendly ones within 20 mins of town, so if this of interest to you, I suggest booking immediately. Be careful of the lake though, some are very far away! (Bay Lake, L’Amable Lake, Lucerne, Albion, parts of (south end) Baptiste are all close to town.) You can call them during regular business hours, 6 days a week if you have questions.

There is a unique Bed & Breakfast, which offers a dog friendly, privacy Guest Suite (a 425 sq ft.. one bedroom apartment). There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a queen size pull out sofa bed in the sitting room, a fully equipped kitchenette and 3 piece bath - electric fireplace, flat screen TV/DVD player and WiFi capability - the Guest Suite has it own private entrance. They provide a homemade continental breakfast each morning. Located 5 minutes form Millennium Park. Little Island Guest Suite.

For those that want a campground for tent/trailers
Bancroft Campground is 10 minutes from town
Or you can book at this Camp in Bancroft, it is about 5 minutes from town

Please visit the Chamber of Commerce website to see a list of other accommodations in the Bancroft area and book a space now to avoid disappointment! The link is http://www.bancroftdistrict.com/business_dir.php

People are planning to come from across Canada and the US to attend this event -- the more the merrier! We hope you can make it!
